Five days ago we received the following:

Hear hear, ye Disciples of the Computer Age,

The followers of the sect of Set hereby challenge your finest champions to do battle! It will be a battle of wits, stamina and musical prowess. It is a battle to find the greatest GUITAR HERO of our time.

The House of Manning has kindly lent us their great tavern for our use on Tuesdays, from the hours of 1pm to 3pm.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope you can find the greatest of champions that will be able to take on our valiant heroes. Please let us know the date of a suitable Tuesday.

We, the defenders of all that is good and virtual, accept your challenge!

We shall present our champion in the eleventh week of this semester.

May we also propose a wager? The loser of the duel shall purchase a quantity of Manning’s finest suitable to quench the thirst of the winner and his second (should they both survive the contest).

May the greatest Hero triumph!
