Edmund Tse on Aug 18th 2009

Hey Genius

It’s true that Microsoft here in Australia doesn’t do much development work. But, did you know that Microsoft in Redmond, USA actually hires internationally?

Meet the company next Tuesday, 25 Aug 09 at UNSW K17 Seminar Room from 6pm to 7pm to find out how to get hired in a software development role with just your talent and passion for technology.

There’ll be free food, and bring your résumé along, to win a share of the prizes.

If you make it, flights to the US and other relocation costs is actually covered by Microsoft!

For those whom aren’t into making software, Microsoft has Marketing, Sales and Services intern and full-time positions here in Australia! Find out more about this on 26 Aug 09 from 1pm to 2pm at The Roundhouse, UNSW. Free food and prizes too!

Questions? Contact me (Attn: Industry Liaison) or Lisa (Microsoft International Recruiting) directly on lisabar@microsoft.com.

This year, we’ll be visiting our major sponsor Optiver, a finance company with a huge emphasis in IT. Good people is what makes everything come together as market makers in derivatives trading over Australian, Asian and European markets.

No journey is complete without visiting a software company. We’ll also be spending some time with Atlassian, an agile software development company that’s proud to be open and with “no bullshit”. They build collaboration and developer tools that’s useful and simply works.

Meanwhile, I’m trying to see if we can visit Macquarie Bank’s amazing new building at King Street Wharf, 1 Shelley Street, in the City!

Agenda and registration is after the break. If you have previously registered with me for the event before it’s been postponed, please re-register so that I can get a better understanding of your needs.
